# Introducing RICE AI

**Humanity is in the middle of an AI revolution.** Since the introduction of ChatGPT 3.5 in November 2022, we have seen new AI updates almost every few months, from text-based AI like ChatGPT to image-based AI like Midjourney and video-based AI like Sora. So, the million-dollar question is: what’s the next for AI?

“The next wave of AI is physical AI,” says Jensen Huang.

RICE AI aims to unlock the [$45 trillion](https://thedriven.io/2024/06/14/robotaxis-30-billion-humanoids-45-trillion-market-cap-elon-musk-gets-very-bullish-about-ai/amp/) future robotics workforce by achieving the next AI breakthrough—AGI robots—through a decentralized ecosystem.

Backed by Rice Robotics, a Hong Kong-based robotics company with over 500 robots deployed worldwide, it has raised $7 million in the last funding round in 2023. Rice Robotics already has already laid the foundation for RICE AI to succeed.
